I, Too, Sing America - an Artistic Lament for the Fallen - NYC, Oct. 16th

The Abyssinian Baptist Church, founded in 1809, will present a concert of music on Sunday, Oct. 16th at 4pm, featuring music of composers H. Leslie Adams and Margaret Bonds. "I, Too, Sing America" will feature songs on poetry of Toni Morrison and Langston Hughes. Arrangements by John Carter and Hall Johnson and new poetry by Janinah Burnett will round out the program. Tickets for this event are $20 and can be purchased through the church here.
