Experimental Music of Christopher Shultis, concert and CD release, March 19th
An all-Shultis concert will also take place at John Jay College on Saturday March 19 at 8:00 PM at the Anya and Andrew Shiva Gallery John Jay College 860 Eleventh Ave. New York, NY (in Manhattan) and will include music from his new CD: "An Illusion of Desire: Experimental Music by Christopher Shultis."  The concert will include the world premiere of "4-7-3," (with video by Hee Sook Kim) for two percussion and electronics; featuring Doug Nottingham and Brett Reed;  "metaphysics" for voice and electronics, "motion/less" for solo percussion; "Gesturing Hands" for solo theremin; and "Friends" for spoken word, crotales and piano. CDs will also be available (advance copies) for purchase at the show. 
Shultis is also a featured composer at the 2016 John Donald Robb Composers' Symposium (link is external) at the University of New Mexico, March 28-31, where he will present his lecture, "Radical Simplicity," and performances of GLOCK, and the world premiere of "World's End Preludes" for solo piano, will be performed by Emanuele Arciuli who is recording it for his upcoming CD on Innova recordings.
