Classical Guitarist Stanley Alexandrovicz, an ALBANY RECORDS recording artist, has released
Dominick Argento’s Postcard from Morocco with the Curtis Opera (ALBANY TR1098-99). Also forthcoming is a new CD of
20th and 21st Century American guitar works (Ernst Bacon, Brian
Fennelly, Kendall Kennison, Eric Sessler, Edward Green, and Carlton
Wilkinson). Mr. Alexandrovicz has received a special recording grant from the Ernst Bacon Society to record the premiere performances of the these works
for guitar.
Mr. Alexandrovicz also performs compositions of the
19th century’s greatest composer-guitarists Napoleon Coste, J. K. Mertz
and Johann Dubez, on 10-string Viennese guitar, and on the modern classical guitar, contemporary pieces including Vaclav Kucera’s dramatic
concert-cycle “Diario—Omaggio a Che Guevara” and 20th an
Stanley Alexandrowiczd 21st century
American works by Ernst Bacon, Brian Fennelly, Eric Sessler amongst
others. Stanley has just completed a tour of the southern United States
and now arrives in London to regale the guitar cognoscenti of the
metropolis.
