Chanticleer, the "orchestra of voices" announces the release of a new recording, "The Boy Whose Father was God" from their March-April performance tour of this musical retelling of the life of Jesus.  The CD features "Grace to you" by Jan Gilbert, previously recorded by Chanticleer, as well as music by Henryk Górecki, Mason Bates, Roxanna Panufnik, Arvo Pärt, and others. "Grace to you" was also featured on Chanticleer's Sound in Spirit CD a few years ago, and is one of the biggest sellers in the ACA works catalog. Gilbert's "hit" is a short arrangement made of a Greek Orthodox Chant, in the context of the composer's interest in the spiritual beauty of ancient chant and asking the singers to recreate this.
