BGSU New Music Festival 2017 coming up Oct. 18-21, music of Robert Gibson, Marilyn Shrude

The 2017 Bowling Green New Music & ART Festival - MidAmerican Center for Contemporary Music
October 18-21 Featuring guest composers STEVEN MACKEY and SARAH KIRKLAND SNIDER and guest ensemble LATITUDE 49.
Various concerts through the festival will include music by -Dai Fujikura, Peter Eötvös, Marissa DiPronio, and Chin-Ting Chan.
Also, Roger Zare, Takuma Itoh, Dai Fujikura, Christopher Dietz and Jason Eckardt, Anthony Donofrio, Dan VanHassel, Alex Temple, Mario Diaz de Leon, and Matt Marks,
Steven Stucky, James Romig, Robert Morris, Marilyn Shrude, Jonathan Newman, John Mackey, and Emily Custer, among others.

Winning entries from the call for works  - to be performed on the 38th Annual Bowling Green New Music Festival - also include: Piano: Ingrid Stölzel In the Midst and John Liberatore She rose, and let me in;  Flute & Percussion: Carl Schimmel Temper Mutations, Janice Misurell-Mitchell The Art of Noise, and Erin Rogers Shimmering Dust. Trumpet / Trumpet and Piano - Robert Gibson Fall; Stephen Lilly Mazed. Brass Quintet Michael Eckert Brass Quintet and  Cydonie Banting Carillon Calls.
