INTERVALS: Sets II, III, IV, V, and VI

Commissioned by Robert Shaw.

This score contains 5 sets/movements:

Set I (separate score with Set VII) is to be performed before intermission (ca. 4').
Sets II-VI (this score) are to be performed during intermission. (ca. 20')
Sets VII (separate score with Set I) is to be performed after intermission (ca 18').

Sets I and VII can be performed as one continuous work, entitled Set VIII.

Sets II - VI, which use subsets of the full orchestra may also be performed separately.
