These settings of two poems by Emily Dickenson are meditations on the light of winter and early spring. The nature of the musical unfolding is to convey a sense of time, place and reverence as expressed in the poems. Songs of Light employs an interactive program that listens to the vocal melody and responds with musical decisions in real-time regarding tempo, rhythm and timbre.
