FOR OPERA/DRAMATIC/THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES -
In addition to paying a rental or sale fee for the sheet music needed for the performance, it is customary for the producing organization to pay a public performance licensing fee to the publisher for the use of dramatic works: for live concerts, audio or video recordings, webcasts or broadcasts, and for any synchronization of ACA music with film and other media for artistic or commercial purposes.
These performance fees can be determined at the time the rental/sale application is received and is subject to be revised upon subsequent developments occuring with the use of the music after the initial rental/sale agreement has been completed. Composers waiving the rights to receive a performance fee for the use of their dramatic works must do so in writing with ACA.
FOR REPRINTING ACA-PUBLISHED MUSIC IN ANTHOLOGIES OR SONG COLLECTIONS, IN ORIGINAL FORMAT OR IN NEW EDITIONS: Permission must be granted in writing for these uses, either by the composer, or by ACA. See attached document below for application to reprint ACA scores.
DEALERS must purchase scores from ACA for any re-sale or distribution. Contact ACA for dealer discount information.
