Released November 2007, this new CD features performances by the Da Capo Chamber Players of Skyscapes III (2002), written while on a Camargo Foundation fellowship to Cassis, France, and Sukhi! (1999), a short tribute to Korean composer Sukhi Kang; by the Pro Arte String Quartet of Arias and Interludes (String Quartet No.2, 2001) commissioned for them by the Koussevitzky Foundation; by counter)induction of Canzona and Dance * (1982-83); and by pianist Blair McMillen of Three Piano Pieces* *(Monogram, Tangoblique, and ThingamaBob).[Engineering and mastering predominantly by Judith Sherman.]
* Canzona was a New Music for Young Ensembles competition winner
** Monogram (1996) is a tribute to composer Richard Swift published in Perspectives of New Music, Tangoblique (1984) a part of Yvar Mikhashoff's Tango Project, and ThingamaBob (2004) a keyboard piece for Robert Conant of the Foundation for Baroque Music.
