SEAMUS 2014 - Wesleyan UniversityThe Society of Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS)
2014 National Conference will be held March 27 – 29, 2014 at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and will feature concerts, installations, workshops, and paper sessions.
Drawing on Wesleyan’s pioneering programs in Experimental and World
Music, the conference will collaborate with a number of
campus ensembles, including the Wesleyan Gamelan Ensemble, Toneburst
laptop and electronic arts ensemble, as well as featuring keyboard
soloists Neely Bruce, Ron Ebrecht and special guest Kathleen Supové.
Scott L. Miller's CONTENTS MAY DIFFER for bass clarinet and fixed media will be performed by Beth Wiemann in Memorial Chapel at concert CH2, Friday, May 28th at 10pm, along with works by Chris Peck, Carl Testa, and others.
Various otherh concerts throughout the conference will include works by Judith Shatin, Elizabeth Hoffman, Orlando Jacinto García, Jane Rigler, Nina Young, and many others.
