Alper Maral to perform works by Bulent Arel at upcoming Turkish cultural conference in Istanbul, June 6-7

University in Istanbul, with the cooperation of Cultural Studies Foundation will be presenting a conference on Ilhan Mimaroglu and Bulent
Arel as the two prominent pioneers of electronic music, who played a remarkable
role in the contemporary music community in the United States. Pianist/composer/musicologist Alper Maral will perform works by Arel, Mimaroglu and Usmanbas--another Turkish composer who lived in the US.
