A sextet of five movements, each of which was inspired by a different haiku alluding to perceptions recalled from experiences of the day or night. The work relies heavily on timbre and special instrumental effects to evoke the atmosphere suggested by each of the haikus. There are numerous extended performances techniques, and some proportional notation in two of the movements. Technically difficult, for advanced performers only.
