An expressive, lyric threnody for cello and piano written in memory of the composer's deceased first wife; an International Jury selection for the 1981 ISCM World Music Days (Israel) and performed at the Tanglewood Festival and elsewhere throughout the world. The closing melisma may be performed either by the cellist or by an off-stage soprano (mezzo).
