Music for tuba and piano was written for Velvet Brown and Roberto Arosio, and was premiered by them at the American Academy in Rome, Italy, 10/13/03 as part of a festival of guest duos. The work includes extended techniques in both the tuba and piano part which create a subtle timbral counterpoint between the two instruments.
