A piano work with electronic tracks. The piano part is virtuosic throughout, and is a juxtaposition of starkly contrasting colors and textures, with much emphasis on filagree passages and special pedal effects. The tape (CD) part consists entirely of sampled segments of the live piano part, transformed with an Ensoniq sampling keyboard. Commissioned by the 1st Gilmore International Keyboard Festival in Kalamazoo, MI. in 1990.
