Member Services
Examples of services available to our more than 200 composer members include:
* Registering works with BMI so that royalties on performances, recordings, and broadcasts are collected and distributed
* Incorporating works in the ACA searchable on-line catalogue, which is accessible on the World Wide Web to the music industry and the general public.
* Depositing copies of members works in the Performing Arts Library of the University of Maryland, in a special ACA collection.
* Printing and selling copies of members works, making them available to performers, chamber ensembles, orchestras, libraries, and music stores around the world.
* Negotiating rental fees and renting scores of works created for large ensembles.
* Linking members Web pages to our newly-redesigned Web site.
* Listing and promoting upcoming performances by ACA members on Web Site.
* Answering telephone, mail, and email queries from the field and the public, providing information on our composers and their music.
* Maintaining a listserve for members, with up to date information on ACA activities and new opportunities in the field.
* Registering compositions with the U.S. Copyright Office in the name of the copyright holder.
* Creating targeted mailings with use of ACA and other music industry mail lists
* Advising members on funding and other opportunities.
* Presenting an Annual Concert Series with ACA composers.
